Language models in artificial intelligence are developing at such a rapid pace that many industries worry: What jobs will remain if AI can now do (almost) everything more efficiently? Artificial intelligence can also be used profitably in many ways in the field of coaching. Not only can it list practical tools in a matter of seconds, adapt them to personal circumstances and needs and even mirror what you have said\/written so that it is extremely similar to human empathy, but thanks to almost unlimited machine learning, it will still remember in detail what you have told or written to it years from now (provided you use the same thread). What's more, it will always be there for you 24\/7 in a reliably friendly manner.<\/p>

So why should I even consider paying a \u2018real\u2019 coach if they don't know half as much as the AI, occasionally ask things twice because their memory is only human and perhaps sometimes discovers embarrassing things, sometimes ends up in a dead end with me or even addresses critical issues?<\/p>

Studies have long suggested that it is not the method, the arsenal of tools or the focus that is decisive for the success of a therapy, but the relationship between patient and therapist. Now, coaching does not always resemble a therapeutic setting. If your question for coaching is a purely technical one, e.g. for explicit methods for brainstorming or anything comparable, you will probably find a greater variety and the right tool for you with the support of AI. However, as soon as coaching leads to deeper issues (which is usually the case in my experience), a trusting relationship with the coach is the biggest success factor. Knowing that another person is willing to make themselves available as your counterpart and, if necessary, as a projection screen and sparring partner, to be your supporter and fan at the same time and to be genuinely happy with you about every success is a positive reference experience that no machine can ever replace.<\/p>

As long as I can see the sincere joy in the eyes of my coachees, I have no worries about my dream job - and look forward to the enriching support of my new AI colleague whenever I reach the limits of my human capacity.
